Accolades
"Working with Smithouse was a first class experience. They take the time to get to know you and more importantly understand how you would like to utilize the space before starting the project. They are very creative in the design phase and extremely thorough in the details as part of the project prep. Working with John Cituk was a true pleasure once the project got started. He is a true professional that not only stays on top of all of the different contractors within the project, but he’s also really helpful in providing detail around how to enhance the project. I’d highly recommend him to guide any project that you’re looking to construct to enhance your home."
"The Smithouse team completed an entire 2,500+ sq ft basement renovation for us which included tearing down the existing structures, building out new rooms and areas like agym, craft room, bedroom, refrigerated wine room, a sauna and a gorgeous bar. This was our first massive project and we are so thankful that we went with Smithouse for this project. I knew my house and goals were in great hands with the team and in the end, it was like having family in the house. I was working with an external design firm and Smithouse did a fantastic job partnering with them and making this one team project . Having a dedicated project supervisor made all the difference in this project being a joyful vs being a headache. Jeff handled every single turn of the project professionally and with a solution focused mindset. We had weekly status meetings with our project manager Andy that helped keep the project on schedule. There were no surprises in this 5 month project."
"My kitchen was completely renovated by Smithouse in Spring, 2025. The entire team was superb- from design to finish. They made what I imagined to be a stressful undertaking to be completely stressless! The workmanship was meticulous, professional and beautiful. They were always on time, tidy and courteous. Communication was excellent. I received daily reports with photos and had weekly zoom meetings. The final product even ended up under budget. I wholeheartedly recommend Smithouse!
I am so happy with the end product that I am planning to use them for a bathroom renovation next Spring."

"Transforming Our 75-Year-Old Home into a Modern Masterpiece!
We couldn’t be more thrilled with the results of our home remodeling project! From start to finish, the team was an absolute pleasure to work with—professional, innovative, and attentive to every detail.
Our house, a 75-year-old gem, came with its fair share of challenges, from outdated wiring and plumbing to structural quirks that needed thoughtful solutions. The team embraced every obstacle with expertise and creativity. They respected the home’s historical character while seamlessly incorporating modern upgrades that fit our needs.
If you’re considering remodeling, especially for an older home, don’t hesitate to call this team. They don’t just renovate houses—they bring them back to life. Thank you for making our vision a reality!"
"We are thrilled with Anna Morphey’s vision and design for our two bathrooms. She created designs that align with our style while introducing fresh, creative ideas we hadn’t considered. She has a great ability to balance beauty and functionality. Even though construction is still ongoing, we can already see how her designs are bringing the spaces to life. We highly recommend Anna to anyone looking for a designer with exceptional talent and a keen eye for creating beautiful spaces."
"Smithouse is nothing short of exceptional. We had them renovate an entire floor of our house including an office, master bedroom, two smaller bedrooms, dining room, foyer, and living room. The design process was seamless - we had just the right amount of input at the right time, the communication was excellent, and our designer Cindy was so wonderful to work with and so in tune with the style we were trying to achieve. I will say the whole team was excellent - they are just great people. The builders worked long hours day and night and provided daily updates with photos. Our custom build-ins are beautiful, and the attention to detail really shows. Their team really transformed our house beyond what we could have expected. We can't wait to get them on board for another project. Would highly recommend!"
