At Smithouse Design + Build, we believe great design is rooted in expertise, creativity, and a deep commitment to our clients. That’s why we’re thrilled to share some exciting news: Interior Designer Anna Morphey has officially earned her Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer (CKBD) credential from the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA).
The CKBD certification is one of the most respected professional designations in the industry. It recognizes designers who demonstrate advanced knowledge, proven experience, and strong technical and communication skills specifically in kitchen and bath design. Achieving this certification requires rigorous evaluation, professional experience, and a deep understanding of NKBA design standards and best practices.
What Does CKBD Mean?
A Certified Kitchen & Bath Designer (CKBD) specializes in the design, planning, and execution of residential kitchens and bathrooms. CKBD professionals must demonstrate:
- In-depth knowledge of kitchen and bath design principles
- The ability to design functional, safe, and beautiful spaces
- Advanced communication and documentation skills
- A commitment to ongoing professional development
In short, CKBD certification ensures clients are working with a designer who meets the highest standards in the industry.
