In this episode of In the Field with JP, we visit our Towson project for the very first time. This is a repeat client—we completed a major refresh on most of their home last year, and now we’re back to tackle the primary suite.
Demo is complete, and we’re moving into rough carpentry, framing, and mechanicals. The plumbers, electricians, and HVAC teams are all making progress, while our crew focuses on framing adjustments, adding pocket doors, and correcting a floor with a noticeable dip to ensure a perfectly level finish.

Hey guys, welcome back to In the Field with JP. We’re out here at our Talsson project — I think this is the first time you all have been out here. We’re just through demo and getting into rough carpentry. This is a repeat client; we did a refresh on most of their house about a year ago, and now we’re back for the primary suite.
We didn’t want to disturb what we had done prior, so — being builders — we built ourselves a new door into the space so we can keep it quarantined from the rest of the house. Let’s go check it out.
We’re through demo and into rough-ins and mechanicals, with a little bit of light framing going on too. As you look around, you can see the plumber’s been in — they’re mostly roughed in for the shower, toilets, and tub. The electrician still has some work out here, as well as HVAC getting the fans in the ceiling. On our end, we’re going through final framing details. Now that the walls are stripped, we can check everything for plumb and level and sister as needed.
The new walls going up with the pocket doors are looking great. Out here on the floor, when we took it up, we found a little bit of a belly — so we’re going to reframe it to make sure everything ends up nice and flat.
