VIDEO TRANSCRIPT:
Hey guys, out here today at our Bel Air project where the name of the game is total house transformation. This one’s really exciting. How about you come with me? I’ll take you around and show you a few fun things we’re doing.

So the client’s goal here was a total house transformation. One of the issues we ran into is previously the front door of this house was hard to find. The garage door took precedence over the entrance, so we wanted to switch that up. We added this portico out front and a new large walkway, which I’ll show you, to bring the front entry out and make it prominent. We’re going to be adding new siding features, roof, all new exterior coverings as we get going here, but right now we’re wrapping up framing. So come on inside with me—I’ll show you what that looks like.

Right now, we’re standing in the new front entryway that used to be outside. Again, the front of the house was hidden back behind the garage. So we created this front entryway. To the right here, we’ve created some large alcoves that are going to be spaces for displaying art as we go along. This space is going to be really cool—really new, fun space.

Back here in the kitchen—again, total transformation. We added about four feet of space to the back of the house by putting in a large steel beam up top, which obviously we’re very good at if you’ve followed other videos of ours. Beyond that, we wanted to create a lot of window space because there’s a beautiful creek down here. We wanted to create a scenario where we could open up the whole back of the house. We have this accordion window and these accordion doors here, which really enable us to open the whole back of the house and get a good feel—be out in nature really quickly.

All right, guys, well that does it this time. Look forward to seeing you again on the next one, and look forward to seeing this one again as we get into finishes.
